Premier League Winner 2025/2026 Tip
This is how the top odds look on oddschecker.com at the moment for the Premier League Winner market...

Liverpool are clear favourites at 7/4 with most bookies and Arsenal at 9/4. Manchester City are third at a generally available price of 7/2. Chelsea are a distant fourth at 8/1.
Liverpool are favourites after a 10 point lead over Arsenal last season to claim the league title. let's also remember the league was already won at the end of April with four games to play. If we exclude those last four games, Liverpool only lost twice in the previous games that actually mattered. Of these games they won 25/34, which is a 73% win rate. Compare that to Arsenal's 53% win rate over 38 games and Man City's win rate of 55% and you can see a big difference in which team is most capable of winning games. Even over 38 games (with 4 games in which Liverpool didn't need to win) they still achieved a 66% win rate.
However, past form is not a guarantee of future success. Liverpool have never won the Premier League twice in a row. But, is this a record that is ready to be broken? Man Utd have done this. In fact they'e won it 3 times in a row (twice). Chelsea have also won twice in a row (once). Man City even did the 4-timer recently, a feat no other team has repeated. Man City are also the most consistent team in modern football not leaving the top four since 2010! Arsenal who have 3 times been runner-up have not won the Premier League since 2004.
But what about this year? What can we deem from past success? What positive steps have the top teams made for this season. Liverpool just lost on penalties in the Community Shield. This is not the best start and shows some holes in Arne Slots defence, despite clearly impressive attacking football. Liverpool have recently bought Ekitike a 23 year old forward from Frankfurt. They also have made arguably the best signing of the summer by recruiting Florina Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen. This 22 year old is another forward and Liverpool could be formidable in attack this season. Other top signings for the top clubs include Gyokeres to Arsenal from Sporting Lisbon. Who is an excellent goalscorer scoring 39 goals in Portugal last season. Joao Pedro is interesting for Chelsea moving for Brighton. As is Sesko for Man United, but they really don't seem like serious title contenders with outside odds of 25/1 of winning the league. A fall from grace indeed.
Although not the most exciting tip for this season, 7/4 for Liverpool to retain the Premier League seems the obvious choice on balance. With new exciting forwards and incredible form last season. Including winning the league, having the topscorer (Salah), top assists (Salah), top Xg (1.8) and 3rd best Xga (1.14). The only hole you could pick is Arsenal are arguably better at not conceding goals, conceding 7 fewer than Liverpool last season. The problem for Arsenal is Liverpool scored 17 more goals.
Premier League Winner 2025/2026 Tip = Liverpool, 7/4 @ 7/4

Premier League Top Goalscorer Tip
With some exciting new additions such as Gyokeres for Arsenal to the Premier League this market is an interesting one to tackle for the season at the early stages. Here are the top odds listed on Oddschecker...

Odds correct 12th August 14:53 and subject to change
Erland Haaland is the favourite and it's obvious why given he scored 22 goals in 31 games last season (71%) which was 3rd highest under Salah (76%) who is 13/2 this time round and Isak (67%) who is also 13/2. He could easily be the topscorer but 6/4 feels too short and lacks value.
Salah is 33 this year possibly on the decline, and Ekitike and Wirtz have joined the ranks who may also dent his goalscoring record slightly. This explains why he is 13/2. Still 13/2 is a good price for last years winner.
Isak is a tricky one given he has been linked to Liverpool and is likely to miss the first game for Newcastle. Him joining Liverpool only threatens his own and Salah's chance of being top scorer.
Gyokeres scored 39 goals (113%) in 33 matches last season, which is phenomenal and he's hard to pass over at 13/2 and rates a strong each-way bet. Granted this was in Portugal which is not the EPL, but the goals scored by Sporting Lisbon and Liverpool are very similar (Sporting scored 88 and won the league, compared to Liverpool 86). The question is whether Gyokeres can transfer that form to Arsenal? Back each-way for insurance and get 1/4 back for each-way bet if he finishes in the top 4.
Premier League Top Goalscorer Tip: Gyokeres each-way, 13/2 @ Bet365 (4 1/4 place terms)

Premier League Relegation Tip
It's no secret that often the Championship teams that come into the Premier League are the most likely team to go straight back down. The three new entrants into the Premier League are Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland. It is not at all surprising to see them as favourites to go down. You can see the Oddschecker best odds for relegation below...

Of the Championship teams based on last season's form we would have Sunderland as favourite to go down over Burnley. Burnley and Leeds both finished the season with 100 points each, Sunderland qualified via the play-offs finished 4th and achieved 76 points last season.
That said Sunderland have been buying players this summer including Xhaka, Adingra and Talbi. Losing Jobe Bellingham to Dortmund is not ideal though.
Burnley are favourites for relegation. Despite a really strong defensive performance last season, they like any real attacking threat and it seems inevitable they will struggle.
Of the three Leeds seem the most likely to survive. Strong in attack and they have also made some decent signings this summer. These include German midfielder Stach and Newcastle midfielder, Longstaff. Additional signings Gudmundsson and Lucas Perri in goal will hopefully improve their defensive record. They are also on the lookout for a new striker with Dovbyk a possibility.
Last season all the Championship teams went straight back down. This year I expect Leeds might just survive the season, but I would be surprised if more than one team from the Championship survives, so back the below bet.
